"Olentangy" Bill King, via email:
I was born and raised in Columbus (until age 12) and Dad used to take us to Norwood Park in the fifties. The permanent building housed a dark ride. To the right of the building was a caterpillar complete with cover. Much fun. There might have been an Octopus nearby. After you mentioned it, I do think there was a Dodgem in the back of the park. Norwood was mostly a kiddeland, and I recall wishing that the owners would add more adult-type rides. The park had little additions, and few subtractions. I last saw it in the early sixties.
